So, we got like 28 inches of snow on Saturday, and before it had a chance to melt, we got almost 20 more yesterday. I was too sick to enjoy it yesterday though:(. I started throwing up Tuesday night and couldn’t stop until midday Wednesday (yesterday). It was horrible! On top of that, I got bloody diarrhea.
I’m feeling better now though.
To make things worse, I couldn’t get to the vet yesterday because they were closed for the blizzard, and the nearest emergency vet was over 14 miles away. Luckily the vet gave us advice over the phone. I took some human pepcid ac, which stopped the vomiting. I made it to the vet today and got some intestinal antibiotics and a fluid pack. I’m happy to report that I’m doing much better now and have even been able to drink water and eat some chicken and rice. The vet says I should be almost back to normal by tomorrow.:)
I also wanted to share a few pictures of our neighborhood. The snow is crazy. I hope I’m better enough tomorrow that I can play in it and enjoy it.

Mom took this picture while she was walking to Walgreens to get me some Pepcid yesterday. She says this is actually before the worst of the blizzard.

One last picture. There's been so much snow that they can't even empty the dumpsters, not that I mind:).

Happy New Year!
I hope you had a nice Christmas. I had a quiet one with Mom and Dad. I didn’t mind because I was so glad to have them back from vacation. They went to Hawaii for a week and didn’t bring me, can you imagine!! They said something about a quarantine and that I wouldn’t like the ocean anyway. So what if they might be right.
Otherwise, we got 23 inches snow here just before Christmas, the most I have ever seen! It went way over my head in a lot of areas, but I still managed to play and jump around in it quite a bit.

So much has happened again since my last post. First of all, my eye lump got bigger, so Mom and Dad decided that we should get it removed just to be safe. This meant surgery, ugh! Since I was under anesthesia anyway, they had my teeth cleaned too, but it doesn’t seem to have helped my bad breath! After the surgery, they made me wear this annoying cone-head thing when they weren’t right next to me.

Mom and Dad kept calling me bucket head! I think they were trying to cheer me up.
Good news though: they biopsied my little eye tumor, and it turns out it was benign, which means no cancer, yay! It’s totally healed up now.
Other news: Mom started working a full-time job:(. I’ve had some withdrawals, but most days I just sleep it off. I miss having as much time together during the day. I don’t understand the whole thing. I don’t know why she and Dad don’t just hang out all day with me on the futon. Mom says I’m adjusting really well though. She leaves for work super-early so she can get home early most days. I get SOOO excited when she gets home and when dad gets home. I run so fast on our wooden floor that sometimes I slip and skid around a little.
So to end with a positive note, I wanted to tell you about a new walk I’ve discovered. I can cover 16 dumpsters in less than 20 minutes, too cool! I call it the dumpster walk.

It’s been so hot lately that I’ve been spending a lot of time inside but haven’t managed to work up enough energy to update my blog;). A lot has happened since my last post.
I went with my parents up to Cape Cod, and I enjoyed the trip more than the one to North Carolina. I got to hang out in the room at their Inn, and I got along well with the owner’s dog named Toby. Actually, if I must confess, I kinda had a crush on him. He’s an adorable little Shi Tzu, and he had a really calm personality. I didn’t mind at all when he barked at me, and his Mom gave me some really cool treats.
What else? Mom made me a new raincoat. Check it out.

I still don’t like to go out in the rain too much, but at least this keeps my back dry. Also, it has little reflectors which Mom says helps cars see me at night.
Also, I went to the vet a couple weeks ago and got a clean bill of health:) He didn’t even seem to notice that I’ve put on a couple pounds. He did take a look at the new bump under my eye and said that I’ll have to have a minor surgery to remove it :0. But he also said it’s no hurry, so I’m trying to talk Mommy into delaying it. See, it’s really small.

See my eye boo-boo?
I’m attributing my good health to all the yogurt I eat. I LOVE YOGURT! And Mom lets me clean her empty yogurt containers, yum. Here are a couple pictures she caught of me snuggling with the container, oops!!

I love you, yogurt container

Did I mention I LOVE YOGURT?!

I had a really busy week last week. On Wednesday, I met up with my former foster Mom and my former (human) brother and sister at Valley Forge. It was so great to see them and catch up. I’m very grateful that they could foster me until my Mom and Dad found me.
Then Thursday morning I went on a walk in the park with my Mom and her friend. I got pretty warm though, so I convinced them to sit in the shade and chat, rather than walk:).
The next evening, Mom and Dad left for the coast for the weekend, and since I didn’t have the best time at the beach last time we went, I begged them to let me stay in town. They let me have a sleep over slumber party with my favorite aunties and their two cats. I was a little nervous about staying with the cats, but I discovered that if I ignored them, then they pretty much ignored me. Overall, it was really fun. I got a lot of attention and extra treats to make up for the extra walks they took me on.
It was a fun week, but I got totally worn out. I’ve been glad to catch up on a few zzzzs this week and am looking forward to a nice quiet weekend.

I got all hyped up about our vacation to the Outer Banks, but it turns out it wasn’t all that:(. It made me realize that I actually don’t have it so bad at home, between the food, sleeping, and familiarity of everything.
On the day we left, I was super-excited once I had my doggy dramamine in me. Here’s a picture just before we took off. Do I look cute or what?!!

Unfortunately, I realized pretty quickly that riding in a car for almost ten hours is incredibly boring. I kept trying to sleep but couldn’t quite get comfortable enough. At least I made it the whole way without getting sick, yay!

Yawn...
Then, once we were in North Carolina, I met my new doggy cousin Agnes. She’s a golden doodle “puppy,” but she’s way taller than me. I had wanted to be friends, but I just got scared because she was so big and energetic. I meant to take a picture of us to post here, but I was too busy growling and snapping at her
. Mommy says I really need to work on this, so there might be some training in my future, geez.

Me on the beach
Then, Mom and Dad took me to the beach one evening so that I could check it out. I found out it’s over-rated. There were some cool smells and all, but there was WAY too much water there. It put me out of my comfort zone. I kept thinking someone was going to try to give me a bath!! I luckily escaped a bath and persuaded my parents to just let me sleep in the hotel the next day while they were out at the beach.
I’m soooo glad to be back home now and catching up on some much-needed sleep.:).

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but I get car sick super-easily, which makes it hard for me to travel with my family. Well, this week when Mom and I were at the doggy doctor for a booster, we asked if they have medication for it, and it turns out they do!

I tried out the medicine today, and we drove to PetsMart (got a new retractable leash!) and then all the way to Valley Forge, and I didn’t get sick at all! It was nice to be able to relax and look out the window without feeling so nauseous.

Here's me at Valley Forge today, near the Mullenberg Brigade camp. I'm so happy I can go places like this now with my parents without getting car sick!

Here's me catching my breath in the grass, just after I saw a deer, which was very cool. I spotted it before Mom, hah!
And I have some more good news. I did so well in the car today that my parents have decided I can come with them on vacation to the Outer Banks later this month!! We found a pet friendly hotel and are all very excited. I’ll post some pictures from the road. Wish me luck!

Well, it’s been consistently warm and sunny for several days now, so I celebrated with extra walks outside and some doggy yoga, yay!

This is downward dog. I like to do this one before Mom and I take a long walk to get the blood flow going.

This is my tongue out relaxation pose (which I sometimes do while I'm sleeping). It's a very relaxing pose.

And this is my favorite: belly rub pose. It still works like a charm.
